About us

Protection is a practice, not a slogan.

The Ridd Aid Foundation is a Nigerian nonprofit working with schools, families, and community leaders on the everyday, unglamorous work of keeping children and adolescents safer.

Our mission

Every Nigerian child gets a fair, safe start.

We remove the specific, named barriers that keep children out of school or in harm’s way, and we come back to the same communities long enough for the work to hold.

Our vision

A generation that knows its rights and has adults who honour them.

Children who can name harm, ask for help, and be believed. Communities organised around that.

Our values

Child first, always

Every decision passes one test: is it safer for the child?

Show up, come back

One-off programmes don’t change lives. Long relationships do.

Say it plainly

No jargon between us and the people we work with.
